Shams-El-Deen Grammar School Alumni Association was officially established as Shams-El-Deen Grammar School Old Students’ Association in June 2021 with registration with Ikorodu Local Government under the leadership of Engr. (Dr.) IDOWU Hamed Ademayowa. After applying for registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and failure to secure the name, members unanimously agreed to change the name of the Association to Shams-El-Deen Grammar School Alumni Association, and the name was approved by CAC in 2024.

The Association has undergone tremendous growth from 5 branches in 2021, 11 branches in 2022, 17 branches in 2023, 21 branches in 2024 to 32 branches in 2025. SGS Alumni Association also instituted community of practices (CoP) which include SGS Alumni Likeminds for Tourism, SGS Alumni in Diaspora, SGS Alumni Citizens Developers, SGS Alumni Health Care Practitioners and SGS Alumni Society of Engineers.

SGS Alumni Association is a network connecting all generations of former students of Shams-El-Deen Grammar School Ikorodu, Lagos State. We typically focused on fostering relationship, professional networking and supporting our members. We regularly organize reunions, mentorship programs, and fundraising for empowerments of our members during our annual alumni conference.
